The MHR model can be turned on or off with an electric switch for the electric pump. However, this functionality is only available before starting the vehicle. If you need to disconnect the rear axle while driving, it is not possible with the electric switch, because the system is under pressure and disengagement of the rear drive is very slow (occurring over several kilometers).

If you require the capability to quickly disconnect and then re-engage the rear axle, the MHRB model with a hydraulic valve must be used. This valve allows for a rapid loss or buildup of pressure within the system. It can be disengaged using a handbrake or a pedal sensor for immediate response.
